Festival Strings Lucerne

The Festival Strings Lucerne is a renowned chamber orchestra from Switzerland that is known worldwide for its outstanding musical performances and regularly performs in world capitals such as Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Seoul, Berlin, Hamburg, Rome, Milan and Istanbul. In the historic halls of the Hotel Schweizerhof Lucerne, the orchestra's soloists delight their loyal regular audience in chamber music formations ranging from trio to octet.

Five soloists from the Festival Strings Lucerne will present famous string quintets, one by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (G minor KV 516) and one by Antonín Dvořák (E flat major op. 97), written in the USA in 1893. A short work by the American composer, singer and violinist Caroline Shaw will also be performed. Her diverse artistic career has brought her together with classical singers such as the famous Renée Fleming, but also with Kanye West and Beyoncé.
