Gourmet & Concert with «Modern Times – with Charlie Chaplin»

As official partner hotel, we accompany your concert evening at the KKL Luzern culinarily, together with City Light Concerts.

Charlie Chaplin filmed "Modern Times" in 1936 as a critique of industrialization and the assembly line, starring himself as the tragicomic factory worker. The film is considered one of the last great silent films in cinema history; Chaplin composed its theme music himself, which later became world-famous as “Smile.” The City Light Symphony Orchestra will perform Chaplin’s music live to accompany the film at the KKL Luzern.
