‘Sometimes you just have to get out of your life to really find it.’ This idea is at the heart of the romantic comedy ‘The Holiday’ by director Nancy Meyers. Amanda (Cameron Diaz) from Los Angeles and Iris (Kate Winslet) from England – both disappointed in love – meet online and spontaneously decide to swap homes over the holidays. What begins as an escape develops not only into a journey to a new environment, but also into personal turning points, surprising encounters and romantic feelings with Miles (Jack Black) and Graham (Jude Law) respectively.
