Festival Strings Lucerne: Kevin Chen

A concert as part of the Steinway Prizewinner Concerts Network.

Founded in 2007 by the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig and Steinway & Sons, it offers a concert stage to particularly outstanding young competition winners. Not yet 20, Canadian pianist Kevin Chen has already won a number of prizes in late 2022 and early 2023: first prize and six special prizes at the Concours de Genève and, on top of that, first prize at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv. "The music just flows out of him," enthuses his former piano teacher. A world career awaits.
