When the ballroom designed by Leonhard Zeugheer (1812 -1866) first opened its doors on 1 June 1865, Empress Eugénie, consort of Napoleon III, residing at the Hotel at the time praised the premises, stating there could be few halls of greater splendour in France itself. Little has changed in that respect since that day. Indeed, the Neo-Renaissance style of the Hall is more resplendent today than ever before. So speakers beware: the sheer beauty of it may leave you speechless...
The Winter Garden with its unique stained-glass window is a wonderful extension to the Zeugheer Hall. It is ideally suited to accommodate groups and speakers, or to serve as a backstage area. In combination with the Zeugheer Hall, it provides the perfect setting for banquets of more than 300 guests. On its own, the Winter Garden is also ideal for more intimate gathering such as christening parties or funeral receptions.
This splendid hall, completed in 1887, was designed by court architect Arnold Bringolf-Hauser (1851-1946) and is suited for a variety of events. Situated adjacent to the Zeugheer Hall, the Winter Garden, the Gold Room and both restaurants, it is also capable of accommodating large banquets of up to 800 guests.
