What are you thinking when hearing Iceland? Untouched nature, northern lights, midnight sun and a volcano called Eyjafjallajökull - that's Iceland. But Iceland is as well the world's largest volcanic island and the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Not to be forgotten, however, is the great culinary diversity this country has to offer.

The restaurant Apotek is located in the middle of Iceland's capital Reykjavik. With the best products of the country such as Icelandic lamb and local seafood, chef Carlos Gimenez and his team spoil their guests.

Born and raised in Argentina, Carlos Gimenez moved to Iceland 10 years ago. After various top addresses in his home country, he was given the unique opportunity to work in Spain at El Bulli, known as the world's best restaurant for a long time. Through these diverse Mediterranean influences, he has invented his very own style of Nordic cuisine and brings together two different culinary worlds.

Don't miss this delightful trip to the north. On Friday, 10 November 2017, the opening evening of the new guest chef's months will take place at 6.30 pm. Get to know the artist of Icelandic cuisine personally and enjoy an evening with the finest creations from the north.
