The Blue Balls Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in Switzerland, with some 100,000 visitors over nine days. Established in 1988, the Easter Festival takes place each spring two weeks before Easter and runs through Palm Sunday. This year the Easter Festival is going to take place from 12th to 20th March 2016 and has a special focus given to sacred music, whether in the Salle blanche of the KKL or through concerts in the atmospheric ambience of Lucerne’s churches.

Some 100 years ago great Russian composers like Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Rachmaninoff found inspiration on the shores of the enchanted lakes of Switzerland. In March 2012, Zaubersee – Russian Music Lucerne, did celebrate this inspiration for the first time. Over the course of four days, Russian and international stars and newcomers as well as the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra did seduce many guests with the wonderful sounds of both well-known and seldom heard gems.
